About
Founded in 2016 by Olivia Smith, Chris Dorland, and David Deutsch, Magenta Plains is a contemporary art gallery on the Lower East Side at 149 Canal Street. The gallery presents dynamic discourse through curated group shows and project-based solo exhibitions, featuring artists including Sascha Braunig, Danica Lundy, and William Wegman. Notable historical solo exhibitions include Lillian Schwartz's critically acclaimed debut New York gallery show at age 89 and work by experimental filmmaker Stan VanDerBeek.
