Founded in 2007 on the Lower East Side, James Fuentes is a contemporary art gallery now operating spaces in Tribeca and Los Angeles. Known for championing artists with practices outside commercial conventions and maintaining a special interest in the evolving legacy of downtown New York, the gallery presents emerging, mid-career, and established artists across sculpture, installation, painting, and mixed-media works. James Fuentes has been widely recognized for its eclectic programming and participates in major art fairs including Art Basel Switzerland, The Armory Show, and Independent.
