Peas, Pod

<p>Kasper Bosmans's inaugural exhibition at Gladstone in Seoul will include a selection of paintings, sculptures, and murals featuring the recurring motif of the bean, through which the artist visualizes his personal relationship to queer family identities, romantic relationships, and heraldry. Long inspired by the visual language of folk art, historically shaped by underexposed makers, Bosmans describes the works in Peas, Pod as "a queer investigation of purpose" and an exploration of his position in the art historical canon.</p>
