Youngju Joung creates compelling works using creased and crumpled hanji (Korean paper) to explore memories of Seoul's disappearing "moon villages" or slums where she was born in 1970. The exhibition features textured paintings that reflect the material hardship and constant reuse of objects in these marginalized communities, avoiding romanticized nostalgia.
